Governor Sanford of South Carolina Seat Open?
Governor Mark Sanford has been a renowned Senator for quite some time. Sanford is the Ranking Republican and Chairman of the Board of Governors. The big news of the week comes to National attention where Governor Sanford was first reported as missing, or he breaking away from his team for 5 days, and then returns from Argentina back to the United States. The reason is he admits that he was in Argentina having an affair, or meeting up with a new friend. Oddly during times of crisis where the U.S. is under siege economically, and there are two major conflicts going on in North Korea and Iran why is the Governor of South Carolina going to Argentina?
The News Media has been all over the issue of the extra marital affair where Governor Sanford publicly Wednesday gave a speech regarding his affair, saying where he was, and apologizing to his wife of 20 years and 5 children. Seat Open? Not yet, or not for now, although the Governor was reported by abcnews.com that his chief of staff said that tax payers money was used for his trips to Argentina during which he admitted having the affair. Governor Sanford did resign from his post as Chairman/Speaker of the Board of Governors, but still has yet to resign as Governor. Currently, the press is just in the midst of talking about first what he was really doing in Argentina, and second is he getting off easy by admitting that he was having an affair which happened to be in Argentina?
This now hurts the Republican Party even more the fact that Governor Sanford is involved in this scandal. The reason it is a scandal other than the use of tax money for the trips to South America is the fact that he was first reported as missing for 5 days, and while the entire State of South Carolina had there Enforcement working to locate him, he did not bother even making a phone call to let people know that he was at least alright. According to his wife Jenny whom has helped him in his election campaigns, it was normal for Mark to get away from things.
This scandal hurts the Republican Party even more the fact that a high ranking Republican is responsible for breaching the system, misused funds, and shows lack of integrity on the job. Although apologizing to his family, how can you apologize to the Republican Party, and to other Republicans. Nobody is perfect, and you are going to have people whom are Republicans have some things come up. Should Governor Sanford Resign? Right now, he remains Governor of the Great State of South Carolina. Is he admitting to the extra marital affair getting the attention off him why he was really in Argentina when he was first reported as missing, the Governor, for 5 days. What a Spectacle. This doesn't help the Republican Party gain any votes right now when some people see this amongst their party members especially in a time when the Democratic Party doesn't look any better, even worse. In this case, the Governor Sanford case undermines the Republican Party as being Conservative when party members as high ranking as Sanford pulls a stunt like going to Argentina for 5 days claiming it was because he was having an extra marital affair. According to the abcnews.com report, Sanford was having an 1.5 year affair with Maria before this news broke.
Sanford is best known for being the only Governor rejecting Federal Stimulus Money where eventually he lost his argument when the Supreme Court ruled that he had to take the Federal Stimulus Money for projects in South Carolina.

The State of the Union 3 Seven

The Most Recent Economic News of the Week came to me a bit of a surprise regarding President Obama's statements I heard on the radio of him being interviewed bragging about the government turning a 1.8 billion dollar profit from Banks whom received TARP Money paying some of that 700 billion USD back. The Banks whom were selected by the government to receive TARP Money, 11 Major Names, have repaid 68 billion dollars back to the Tax Payer. Where does the 1.8 billion dollars go, to the government or to the Tax Payer? This News was confirmed that it was a true fact on the CNN Morning Show during the week.
Socialist Economics is what that pretty much confirms in that the government all along knew that by lending tax payer money out to the banks under the banks current policies charging customers ATM and other fee's that they could lend this money before reforming bank policies. When the leaders talk about how concerned they are it is quite on the contrary because they are aware of all bank practices.
TARP Money was available. Now what your noticing is that the government controls the banks through the tax payer money, and for the banks, they want to re-pay that 700 Billion as soon as they can before the Bank Reforms occur which many are long over do.
Senator Dodd is the Chairman of the Banking Committee. For over a year now consumers, and consumer groups have already caught on to how the banks charge ATM fees, and other certain fee's when a check creates an overdraw. Oftentimes the bank back tracks ATM charges if a check goes through after the ATM has already by drawn out/collected, and when the numbers get close to O, the banks systems do have a way after the customer goes under 0, to charge fee's. I call it back tracking charges or points of sale or rolling fee's, and stalling charges. I was aware and wrote about it on www.jamestowncalif.com of this practice last year how Bank of America charges 35 dollars per charge on charges that sometimes should have cleared automatically. Senator Dodd being the chairman of the Banking Committee a year ago already had good information that banks needed to reform some of its policies, but he did nothing about it nor didn't even mention it.
Instead Senator Dodd on the AIG Bonus Deal Ordeal first denied that it was he that first put the language in the paperwork endorsing the bonuses. Then after CNN's Dana Bash asked him the following day the same question, Senator Dodd admitted that he did authorize and knew about the language thus the bonuses. On Camera and in front of the whole United States we all witnessed a lie, or a breech, or a perjury statement the fact that he takes that oath, and then just lied on TV. Seat Open?
The American People and the Press had a justified opportunity to first ask for Senator Dodds resignation. If he did want to resign then to consider impeaching Senator Dodd for that inconsistency especially when he along with his party have continued to support bail outs from the Auto Industry which is now ruined both GM and Chrysler, the 11 Banks, and the Insurance Bail Out. All of this adds to one thing. Socialist Economics?
The fact that the Democratic Party covered this up in the media after it occurred. Senator Dodd is basically incompetent running the banking industry knowing that there are so many basic reforms that need to be done to revive the economy or he is deliberate on him being a bonehead at his position. I'm asking Senator Dodd to Resign for lying on TV about some of Insurance Bail Out Money going to bonuses to CEO's.
Yet the Democratic Party is pleased on how the economic policies have been taken its course with no change. The fact that President Obama bragged about turning that profit of 1.8 billion dollars when banks repaid 68 billion dollars shows that he knows nothing about economics, or capitalism, nor what is happening in the economy. When banks charge those 35 dollar fees, that gets people behind on there other bills and payments by costing another week or more than a weeks pay. People can't spend money when they are in certain debt.
The Money they need to spent on the local economy goes to bank fees. Every time the banks charges that 35 dollar fee, that is money that could be going to the National Economy, including sales tax money. So the banks just fronted and double dip in this situation by having their policies remain and stay the same before receiving the TARP Money. Is it possible that the banks used peoples accounts not paying on those bank fee's the reason why they received bail out money. Then if that is the case, who knew what when? And the System continues to break itself by personnel taking advantage of the Capitalist System then ruining it giving certain business preference over others creating a socialist economy. That is where we are at pretty much as the unemployment levels are caused mostly because these policies have affected small business and the middle class investor the most when one does have money to invest. These banks still charge the high interest, still reject customers based on credit, and still get bailed out. A lot of banks went under, and a lot of banks merged. It is going to be interesting to see if the banks continue the same policies, or if they will reform its own policies such as lowering fee's to 10 dollars so that needed money goes to the economy rather than for the bank then to profit. The President has openly stated that he wants the banks to earn money and turn a profit, so do I. But all that change the D Party promised nothing changed, only that 11 Banks took over all the other banks while the currency was printed and some borrowed. This is one reason why the Economy is down in my opinion the accumulation of all the fee's people endured affected the way people spent their own money, the way checks are cleared and stalled, the way systems don't process Automatic Transfers automatically like Starbucks waiting 3-4 days to clear a 1.95 charge. The Gas Stations do the same thing on the debit cards. Some merchants take the funds right on the spot, and that is how it should be done if the card is called ATM, Automatic Transfer. The Banks first tricked the systems, then received the bail out money, and were rewarded for its policy. The end result is that all the fee's money should be going out to the National Economy. The fact that there is a 1.8 Billion dollar profit based on the banks policies of cheats is remarkable, blatant, and it is like tell the tax payer what are you going to do about it? Then the 1.8 billion dollars that should be going to the National Economy through the local economies just went to Uncle Sam. The fact that the government now is affecting all business on these socialist policies on this large scale is one reason why the economy is down in my opinion. The Administration wants more power. The Administration wants to reform the health care policy right now when it just ruined the auto industry. The fact that the President bragged about turning a 1.8 billion profit on these policies shows one thing. If the branches want more power, and they are already are running the bank industry, the insurance industry, and the US Auto Industry, who is to say that they are running all the industries in what its now obvious Socialist America is a Socialist Economy. The way banks were rewarded to even receive that 700 billion in TARP Money was never question or disputed. The banks paid back 68 billion dollars towards the loan, and the government turned a 1.8 billion dollar profit on that reimbursement? Profiting on behalf of peoples economic pain?
(there were 40 banks that went under as a result of bank failure)The banks profit from the loans they give first and second by the charges they access to their customers such as overdraw fee's, ATM fee's, fee's for using your card at another bank charges two fees in some banks for a 20 dollar withdrawal.

I have a problem with Lakers Fans Sunday Night out causing street disturbances for the residences and businesses. The actions of those fans hurts it for other fans in my opinion. When they see you guys out there doing this is one reason why they take advantage of us. Some of those scenes were considered minor crimes, and I think people ought to turn themselves in if they participated in the looting, breaking things, causing damage to businesses and civilly pay the businesses and city for the actions. The Lakers Fans want to win and win, and it gives the opposition reasons to get refs against the Lakers not wanting the series going back to LA. I apologize for those Lakers fans. Before I went on the radio on 710 AM ESPN after the Win, the Broadcasters asked the fans to keep things under cool. It seemed as if the PD did a good job preventing more destruction, and they were all isolated incidents.

North Korea Conducts Underground Nuclear Test Memorial Day 2009

North Korea Friday conducts its 6th missile test in a mass showing of military force recently. Memorial Day, North Korea conducts an underground nuclear test. The test appeared to be controlled, and considered a success which was of the strength of a 4.7 earthquake. North Korea’s military have continued to defy the UN, and currently it has been reported that because the UN have suggested adding more sanctions that North Korea now will not recognize or drop out of the 1953 Armistice. The Armistice is considered to be the peace settlement between North and South Korea after the 3 year War after WW2.
Currently the Obama Administration have sent diplomats and envoys to the region in an emergency session. According to the Friday Morning Show CNN Report by Barbara Starr, she stated that it would take the U.S. Military 90 days to get geared up or get troops to the region if there was further escalation in the area. The nuclear test alone is a concern the fact that North Korea has that kind of technology/ability, and now have been conducting various tests. In 2006 during the Bush Administration, North Korea conducted a nuclear test. Nothing was really done about it other than sanctions. In fact, there were times when high ranking diplomats went to North Korea and actually gave them money. To add last summer, the News Stations all showed North Korea destroying one of its own reactors. The CNN journalist C Amanpoor report suggested that it was a showing of good will. I was skeptical at the time, and thought to myself that whatever was in that reactor was moved, and that was why it was destroyed more so because the building may have been old.
North Korea obviously has the technology that the United States has when it comes to nuclear capability. Why have North Korea’s government and military appear hostile to the surrounding countries remains a question we all need to ask ourselves. Who is backing up North Korea’s advancement in nuclear science? Have they had the technology all along and only recently it has been reported the scale of their advancement? Have the North Korean’s received any technology through socialist governments including the West through personnel not authorized?
The nuclear test is a very significant move by North Korea and it shows the willingness of the leaders there to continue to challenge power in the region. South Korea is now on high alert since North Korea has made statements suggesting that they are going to do something meaning retaliate. It is a big move to have dropped the Armistice as North Korea have stated. The North Koreans continue to show on their TV channels of their progress. In the U.S. until recently I have not seen the concern by the News Media, News Network, and people in general about the nuclear test.
North Korea launched a Taepondong 2 more advanced- Missile that was said to have fizzled by the St. Dept and TV Stations weeks ago. Can we be so sure that the missile didn’t carry a warhead, and although the U.S. Military were watching, part of the Missile fizzled, and the other part, well, I just hope that is not what caused that fire in Santa Barbara. I have noticed a parallel or link that when North Korea conducts a missile test, shortly after, there have been fires here in the southland. That is something that needs to be investigated, and that statement is not a confirmed fact of the parallel, but I did think the most recent missile launch after it fizzled, did it really fizzle, or did the other piece to the warhead get released? Whether it did that time or not, it is important for the next time to be cautious of what North Korea is doing when testing nuclear energy, and firing missiles at the same time.
Many countries and independent people are now persuaded to buy missiles from North Korea if they’re in that market. The recent escalation has caused oil to go up to 66.00USD, and Oil has been down, but going up steadily. Any News causes Oil to go up, and that affects the National Economy.
The fact that it has been suggested that it would take the U.S. Military 90 days to get ready for a conflict in the area shows that it is not a top National Security Priority. Only that if North Korea ever had the ability to launch missiles into the sky and over the Pacific Ocean, there aim or ability would only reach so far as the West Coast or Alaska, and not possible reaching the East Coast. I think that the Washington government anticipates and knows that being logical over the geography. I think those on the West United States, American States need to United in case North Korea does escalate a War in the near future. The Administration continues to show so much more priority to Iraq and Afghanistan, and now Pakistan, North Korea is 4th or 5th on the priority list when it should be 1st. How long have North Koreans had nuclear technology to where they are able to conduct such tests underground? Do they feed off other governments also conducting tests that we don’t know about, or knew about? Currently South Korea is not ready for a War with North Korea if this becomes a War like we have never seen before. Obviously some of the secrets of about nuclear energy are also known to North Korea, and whether they use that knowledge for peaceful means is something that remains to be seen. It is a like another race down there. It is like a people that we know nothing about are as highly advanced as we are. My question: was it our people that aided them in any way to reach this advancement and this far? What is the purpose of firing the missiles after conducting a nuclear test, are they related, and if so why isn’t the U.S. Military not paying more attention to it? This is a classic case where late information is an obstacle.
Friday May 29, 2009 according to the NBC Report, North Koreas stated that they will take new security measures if the UN adds sanctions to them considering that provocative. How should the U.S. respond? What is North Korea gaining by showing all this capability? It seems that the American Leadership are pre-occupied by other things such as politics, the economy, the deficit which are all working against the American People when things boil down to the next level if it does. A lot of times, it is the bad information that can cause a war, and the fact that we don’t know more about the North Koreans, but they know a lot about us, and right now it is a major concern what is happening there with things changing daily.
Friday June 12, 2009 Update, It was reported today that North Korea plans yet another nuclear test. What will the Administration do if North Korea conducts another nuclear test? The UN plans on giving more sanctions out to North Korea, but this has not slowed down what they have been doing. What is North Korea trying to gain by conducting nuclear tests? What can or what will the United States do about the next test even if the UN Security Council pledges or asks North Korea not to conduct the test, and they do it anyways disregarding the UN and U.S.

The Los Angeles Lakers Thursday Night Win 100-75 Game 1 vs. the Orlando Magic to take a 1-0 series lead. The Lakers came out the first game as the more hungry and superior team, and the stats show it. The Lakers led by MVP Kobe Bryant were just too much against the visiting team. Kobe leads all scorers with 40 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists, 2 block shots, 8-8 at the free throw line, and a +25 plus/minus ratio. Pau Gasol scores 16 points, Lamar Odom 11, Bynum, Walton, and Fischer each score 9 points. The Lakers beat the Magic in convincing fashion and go for the series 2-0 lead Sunday. (Right now the game is starting after the national anthem).
The Magic were just out played from the 2nd quarter by the Lakers, and the Magic were never able to get in sink. This game was close in the 1st quarter with Orlando outscoring LA by two 24-22. The Lakers outscoring the Magic 31-19 in 2nd take a ten point lead at the half 53-43. In the 3rd, it was more Lakers with LA outscoring Orlando by fourteen 29-15, and the rest was garbage time. The Lakers outscore the Magic by one 18-17 in the 4th to win by twenty five points 100-75.
The Lakers defensively were able to shut down Howard allowing him only 12 points. The Lakers defense or the nervousness of the Magic were both reasons why Orlando goes 29.9% FG's. The Lakers have been waiting for this game for a long time, while the Magic weren't ready for the Game, nor what was about to occur in LA where the Lakers fly on all cylinders, and it starts with the team defense. Defense wins Championships, and Dedication wins Titles.
The Lakers remain hot from the Denver series win 3 in row, now at 13-6 in the playoffs are just three games away from winning the NBA Championship. LA goes 41-89 FG's at 46%, 3-9 three point FG's at 33.3%, 15-18 FT's, and all Lakers other than Vujacic were in the + plus/minus. There were 8 lead changes, and 7 times this game was even. The Lakers take over the game in the 2nd quarter, and then laid it on them in the 3rd quarter. Kobe is on a mission, and it looks like Sunday can be one of those games where he scores 59+ points. And who knows, like the 81 point game he had, I feel a bigger performance than the 40 point performance that was just so good and splendid Game 1 for the Los Angeles Lakers fans.

The Bank Invasion in SoCal
Chase Bank

Chase Bank or JP Morgan Chase, the New York based Bank received 25 billion dollars of U.S. Tax Payer Money in Bailout Money. Bank of America received 34 Billion dollars from the U.S. Tax Payers. Practically handing down the money to the chosen banks, now whether Chase complains that they will barely break even, it seems as if they made out here in Southern California. In Fact while the Los Angeles Mayor is complaining that he needs about 550 million dollars to balance the County budget, the National Leaders have made it a priority to support the banks rather than the major city's county. To add, California's state budget is in 21 billion dollars in deficit, and Arnold is blackmailing voters from the ballot measures by not passing 1A that there will be more cuts.
According to a Mark Googan Report here in SoCal: that report stated that the Administration will not bail out California.
Californian's are not asking for a bail out. California is only asking for the National Government not to continue to drain all the money here from the state level going to the National Level. Then when there is no more money, the National leaders prefer to give tax payer money to banks rather than the state to balance its budget.
It is the most famous Commercial on TV right now for Chase. The Commercial starts with the man in the ocean with his surfboard. Then the customer going to the bank teller: She says: Welcome to Chase, how can I help you. The Commercial poses to be an upscale commercial when all commercial money came thanks to the tax payer bail out money. Chase: New to California, but not to Banking". That voice in the commercial poses as the good guy, when the bank invasion is happening, and the TV news networks are playing the commercial over and over. Now Chase is sponsoring all the radio and TV spots. Oftentimes, when sponsors buy that air time, they also choose who they want to run the shows. Now for person trying to make it into radio or TV, they have to go through the bail out money, and the banks money such as Chase in order to qualify for the position. Now the news media can pretty much broadcast what they want.
It is a bank invasion. First of all, I drive through every city in all 5 counties here in Southern California, and notice that Chase has spent a lot of money to first take over Washington Mutuals locations. Second, Chase is spending money monthly on rent to the land owner and that costs from 2-5 dollars a square foot for each location. Some areas have 2 Chase banks right next to each other on the same street. Basically the bail out money is paying for the 5-10 year lease Chase has on the building, and if you add up a 20,000 sq ft building at 3 dollars a sq ft. that will equal 60000 USD for rent a month. Some locations have buildings at 30,000+ Sq.Ft. That is for only one location, and as you can see Chase is all over in every city now getting priority over other businesses. When a small business fails or goes bankrupt, the government doesn't step in to save a person's business, the person goes bankrupt, and has to walk away. In the Chase Case, the New York City based bank has been rewarded for its prior failure, and now with that 25 Billion dollar bail out money, they can use the money to lease out buildings, buy commercial spots on Radio and TV, and now take over media spots during hours by using that advertising money to sponsor its own propaganda and shows.
It is a Bank Invasion what occurred with Chase here in Southern California by what they did to get into the areas and cities and do business. They got a free pass from the National Government to get 25 billion plus dollars, and then later use that money to force Californian's to bank with them.
Welcome to Chase, New to California, but not to Banking. More like New to California, but not to banking, but not to screwing people. Now all the News Pundits have to work alongside the guidelines of the sponsored advertiser, and at this pace, and with billions of dollars not millions, Media can change in 1 year drastically by all the changes that will occur later from the result of this policy of bailing out the banks such as Chase.

The Los Angeles Lakers win Game 6 119-92 at Denver to win the Western Conference. The Lakers brought their "A Game" that game, and it was enjoyable to watch. Kobe Bryant was balling, and it was the kind of Lakers basketball that all us fans have been waiting for.
The Lakers take a five point lead at the end of the first quarter 25-20. The Lakers outscored the Nuggets 28-20 to take a 53-40 lead at halftime. The Lakers in the first half took the crowd out of the game, and the team defense was very good. The Lakers outscored the Nuggets by three 30-27 in the 3rd quarter. And in the 4th Quarter, well it was one of those quarters where the Lakers fans got to enjoy the rest of the game knowing the outcome as LA outscores Denver by eleven 36-25 to win 119-92 Game 6 and advance to the Finals.
The Denver Nuggets team did well in this series as they were able to split in Los Angeles the first two. Game 3 was big for LA to win. LA Wins Game 5 as Denver ties the series game 4. With the 3-2 advantage, the Lakers close out the Nuggets to win in spectacular fashion 4 games to 2. For Lakers fans, that Game 6 was not just against the Denver Nuggets, but against all the teams in the Western Conference as Denver made it all the way to that point. I wanted the Lakers to win at Denver more so because I am tired of all the sports critics talk about how "well if they don't come out game 6, they can wrap it up at home", and I thought that was chicken crap. I thought by beating the Nuggets game 6 on their home floor, that was the statement game to all the teams. To win in that fashion, well that's what's up.
All the Lakers played some big time basketball. The Lakers make it to the finals for the 30th time the most in NBA history. The Lakers Kobe Bryant leads all scorers with 35 points, 10 assists, 6 rebounds, and 1 blocked shot. Kobe Bryant was facing the Nuggets players on the offensive ends, and the whole United States saw it. What defense. The Lakers Pau Gasol, the Co-MVP of this team scored 20 points and 12 rebounds. Gasol was making some good passes in the lane for assists adding 6. Lamar Odom scored 20 points and 8 rebounds, and Lamar gets the ESPN Post Game Interview. Trevor Ariza from UCLA scores a big 17 points, and he was big early in this game, and all series defensively playing a pivotal part to the success of this team. And how about the play of Luke Walton making consecutive shots in the third, and he was all over the place scoring 10 points, 3 assists, and 1 rebound. I'd like to congratulate Bill Walton for Luke doing well Game 6 in one of the most rememberable ass kicking games, or teams getting beat I have seen in the Western Conference deciding game.

The Lakers go 24-24 at the free throw line. The Lakers go 43-75 at 57 % FG's, 9-16 three point FG's at 56%. In Game Six, there were four lead changes, and zero times was this game tied. The Lakers jumped all over the Nuggets from the onset, and consistently played good defense throughout the game while converting the baskets from all over the perimeter inside and outside. Game 6 was one of those games that had the critics speechless, and the Lakers fans all smiling. The outside baskets were awesome. For Me, I enjoyed watching Kobe on that dunk play, and he was flying that game. Kobe balling like no other player can. Kobe had me out of my seat. That game was all face. Kobe was on the dunks, and Kobe on the 3 pointers, Kobe on the block shot, and Kobe and Gasol for the give and go play made it feel like old time Lakers Basketball: SLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM DUNK, Kobe Bryant.
A lot of times, sports critics like to compare players such as Lebron James to Michael Jordan, or compare Kobe Bryant to MJ. MJ got 6 titles. Kobe is now at 3, going for his 4th. To win this year, Kobe gets closer to that 6 to become on that same scale as being the greatest basketball player of all time. Saturday Night Orlando defeats the Cleveland Cavs 103-90 to win the East. The Los Angeles Lakers will face the Orlando Magic Game 1 Thursday Night at Staples Center.
